"In our younger years, my wife and I spent a lot of time camping. It was our favorite thing to do. There's just something about being out in nature that refreshes the soul.
In recent years, jobs and responsibilities have taken hold and we haven't been able to find time to sneak away for even a weekend. Sometimes between my wife's schedule and my own, we don't always see each other at all for a day or two!
So you can imagine what a superb surprise it was to come home one day and find my wife home already (normally she works very late on Fridays). She shoo'ed me upstairs to change and shower while she prepared a hot, homemade dinner (she's a fantastic cook). It was quite late when we were finally ready. But instead of sitting at the table, she ushered me outside - where there was a tent set up in our backyard, piled with warm blankets, sleeping bags, and air mattresses... and laden with platters of food! And as icing on the cake, later that night we were treated to an amazing display of Northern Lights, something we hadn't seen in at least a decade. I'm sure the neighbors thought we were nuts camping in our yard in the freezing weather. We thought it was one of our best camping trips ever, and definitely the most memorable."
